Sequoia Cottage
A House Created by Black Mountain College
HISTORY
Built in 1944 and originally named the Jalowetz house, this cottage was built as a Black Mountain College Student Project under the direction of Kocher, a modern architect. He inspired his students to work with locally found materials, and to create space that was small in square footage yet felt spacious and inspiring. To read more:

Set just below Mt. Mitchell amidst the Blue Ridge Mountains, the house resides in a peaceful wooded setting.
