Whether you’re just staying a few nights, or planning a week-long escape, we have several pet and family friendly options here at Lake Eden. All rentals include linens and towels as well as personal recreational use of the Lake Eden grounds & daytime access to our shared guest lodge. The Asheville area offers many exciting opportunities from fine dining & live entertainment to outdoor activities like golf or hiking, many of which you will find listed in your in-room guidebook. Meadows Inn, built by E.W. Grove in the 1920’s and recently renovated is actually 2 private units which can be rented together or alone. Downstairs the Suite has 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to 4 guests. The Loft upstairs and accessed by a separate entrance has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 guests.

Lake Eden Events & Lodging | Details & Policies

General Details
ADDRESS: Lake Eden Retreat, 377 Lake Eden Rd, Black Mountain, NC 28711
CHECK-IN TIME is AFTER 3 P.M. EST AND CHECKOUT is 12P.M. EST.
All of the Lake Eden lodgings are NON SMOKING indoors.
Reservation Deposit
A non-refundable reservation deposit of 50% is required. This must be received within five (5) days of booking the reservation. The advance payment will be applied toward the room rent. Please make payments via credit card or personal checks payable to Lake Eden Events. Payment of the balance is due upon check-in. A valid credit card is required to be on file in case of damages. This amount will
constitute the full amount due as long as the following terms and conditions are met:
• No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
• No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.
• All debris,
rubbish and discards are placed in proper receptacles.
• All keys are left where they were originally picked up.
• All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
• No linens are lost or damaged.
• No early check-in or late checkout unless with prior approval
• The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or the local law enforcement.
Pets
Pets are permitted in rental lodgings only with prior approval. $40 per pet for up to 3 days or $60 per pet per week fee applies. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up any/all pet refuse. Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Any evidence of pets on furniture may incur extra cleaning fees. All pets must be up-to-date on rabies vaccinations and all other vaccinations. Heartworm prevention is highly recommended. All pets are to be treated with Advantage or similar topical flea and tick repellent three (3) days prior to arrival. All items above are the sole responsibility of the pet owner. The cabin owners assume no responsibility for illness or injury that humans or pets may incur while on the premises. Pets remaining in the lodgings unattended should be crated to avoid damage to the lodgings. Lake Eden cannot allow any pets which show aggressive tendencies. Any pet showing aggression towards guests or other pets will need to be removed.
Cancellations
Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent.
Maximum Occupancy
The maximum number of guests is limited to what is specified for each unit upon reservation. Additional charges per person per night for guests in addition to the agreed upon # will be assessed.
Events
Guests may not host events in the lodging without prior express permission of owner. An event can include but is not limited to a wedding, bachelor party, catered dinner, rehearsal dinner, after-party, or any gathering which involves guests not staying in the lodging attending. There should never be more than twice the rated sleeping occupancy of the lodging in attendance at any time.
Minimum Stay
This property requires a two (2) night minimum stay. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than two days, the guest will be charged the two-night rate.
Inclusive Fees
Rates include a one-time linen & towel setup and cleaning at end of stay.
Housekeeping Service
While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. However, it is available at an additional rate. We do not permit bath towels or linens to be taken from the units.
Taxes
Lodgings rentals are subject to local taxes. Rates may change.
Falsified Reservations
Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in.
Parking
Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
Water & Septic
These lodgings may be on wells and septic systems. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to two hundred dollars ($200).
Storm Policy & Road Conditions
No refunds will be given for storms. Mountain roads can be curvy and steep. Gravel drives are well maintained; however, we highly recommend four wheel drive and/or chains during the snow months. We do not refund due to road conditions.
Travel Insurance

Written Exceptions
Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
Liability Release
All of the lodgings at Lake Eden are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
